Seni Seneviratne is an internationally published writer, poet, creative artist and performer from the UK. She is the author of the poetry collection Wild Cinnamon and Winter Skin. She's given readings and performances in the UK, US, Canada, South Africa, Egypt and Kuwait.^[1]

Biography

Seneviratne was born and raised in Leeds, Yorkshire.

She is of English and Sri Lankan heritage. She currently works as a freelance writer, mentor, trainer, and creative consultant.^[1]

Writing

Seneviratne's debut collection, Wild Cinnamon and Winter Skin (Peepal Tree Press, 2007) included a poem that was Highly Commended in the Forward Poetry Prize.

A poem from her second collection, Operation Cast Lead was shortlisted in the Arvon International Poetry Competition (2010).

In 2012, she was poet in residence at Ilkley Literature Festival. In 2013, Aldeburgh Poetry Festival commissioned Seneviratne to create text in response to Bill Jackson’s photography exhibition, Dark Li
