LONG BEACH – Rae Gabelich isn’t running for office, but she’s still collecting votes.

The 8th District councilwoman was entered by a friend in an online contest sponsored by Celine Dion’s perfume line highlighting women who have overcome adversity, “inspire those around them” or have done something “sensational.”

Gabelich was among the top five vote-getters in the Celine Dion Sensational Women Awards on Friday afternoon with votes – only a couple of hundred shy of first place.
